End of Upward Bound 2010

I used to have a blog before but I did not sign it to it every day and write randoms though. This is was first time learning stuff about blog, why people blog and so other stuff. What I liked about blogging is that you can write whatever you want, tag people, add pictures, label your post, and comment on other people blogs. What I dislike about blogging was that you cannot put a display player like on myspace, like when you walk in your profile music play and I also dislike that when I post something it cannot be deleted, it will always stay there.

I really cannot wait until my summer actually starts. I want to sleep in, go out, not worry about doing homework and other stuff. What I plan to do for the rest of the summer is to work at Cook Art Center, my sister is trying to talk to her boss to hired me so I can help her with the Little kids doing arts, dancing, playing games and so forth. I also won't have that much of a summer because I have to attend to Grand Rapids Community College on August, finally I am going to be taking a college class. I also plan to have fun hanging out with my friends, family members, and celebrate my birthday next month.

Second To Last Post

One my favorite candy is red heart lollipops, because they have a different taste than regular lollipops. Since the first time I tasted it, if I taste one I will need more than one just to feel satisfied. Tasting one makes me taste like ten of them. This lollipops are not found anywhere, I sent to buy mines in Dominican Republic, every time one of my family members or friends are going back. Every lollipop has a different taste, and the one from Dominican Republic taste delicious. Omg ! I want one now! What is actually cute about this lollipops is that they have stuff written like: Te amo, Te extraño, Dame un beso, and so other sweet stuff. I cannot wait until I get back to Dominican Republic, so I can buy me a box and bring it back. And they are actually cheap, They are $2 pesos, which is less than 1 penny here, because $1 dollar here is $36 pesos down there. So with $1 dollar I can buy me 18 lollipops, Yummy !!!

My weekend was kind of frustrating for me. When I got home on Friday night my Internet box was not working, so I called our Internet provider and told them about it. They said they were going to bring another one the very next morning. The next morning they did not show up, something that got me really mad because I were supposed to do my research paper, and I needed the Internet to find information about my topic. When I saw that they did not show up, I called the company again, and they told me that they had a inconvenience and that's why they couldn't come so they told me that I had to wait after Monday and they would bring it. My weekend was kind of frustrating because I did not got my work done because I did not have Internet at home to find information about my topic, and the library closed to my house does not open on Saturdays.

Friday (July 9, 2010)

There is a time in life when everybody show their real colors including your family and friends. Some people try to act nice to you and stuff but when you walk away they just start talking bad about you. There is a point when somebody cannot hold everything in and they just show their true color, which means they just explode and tell you how they feel and everything. Showing true colors can be positive and negative. Because they can really show how they are or stuff they been hiding from you, and it can be really disappointment. I had somebody who showed their true colors to me, it was really hurtful because I thought she was my friend but at the end she was my worst enemy. I thought she was honest, nice, and trustworthy but at the end she wasn't all that, she used to talk about me with other people and one day I found that out, and confront her with that and she said that she never was my best friend and she will never be. Hurtful !!

Bad Experience (Wednesday 7, 2010)

I am naming this article Bad Experience because what I went through last night was a bad college experience, but it actually help me to figure out where do I want to live when I graduated from high school. Last night my dorm was 90 degrees or even more. Omg !! I couldn't go to sleep, It was too hot. I went to sleep at 12:00am but I kept waking up every 50 minutes. The fan wasn't helping at all, I think it was making it hotter. Today, it feels like it is going to happen the same thing again, which means I will be exhausted the next day. I cannot wait until I get home, I have AC.

Thursday (July 1, 2010)

Today, I am exicting about three things: last day of class, volleyball tournament and quizzes today. I woke up in a very good mood. I went to sleep around 12:00am because my roommate and I kept talking about random stuff after we laid down around 11:30pm. I feel so confidence on myself that I am going to past this Anatomy and Spanish quizzes today, I had study pretty hard since yesterday. Also today after class we have a volleyball tournament, everybody is playing. I love to play volleyball and I am really competitive when it come to play any sports. I hope my team wins at least in 2nd place. "Yay!" and after the volleybal tournament we have extra free time, which means I can go to sleep or go to the pool, everything depends on how tired I am.

I fail my quiz for Anatomy last Thursday, So I decided to retake it Yesterday. The teacher said that everything was going to be the same, only in different order. I spend my break studying, at night and at study table. Unfortunately, it came the day of the quiz and everybody was confidence about it, but when we got the retake quiz, everybody said, "oh no we all fail again". She put different parts of the body, and some other stuff that I did not know. But anyways I did try my best and I know, I did good on it. So now I just have to wait until later so I can know what I got on the quiz.

Tuesday (June 29, 2010)

Last night, I did all my homework before I got to my dorm. When I got to my dorm, I just went straight to the bathroom and took a shower. It was 11:00pm when I fell asleep. All I can say is that I slept as a baby. Late on that same night around 3:45am I woke up to go to the bathroom and Yarisbel(my roommate) screamed, it was hilarious, she thought I was somebody else. And I said to her, "Yoo it is me, anybody is in here with us". It was kind of funny because she screamed like a old lady.

Summon Experience (June 28, 2010)

The use of summon can be helpful for research papers, articles, newspapers, and so forth. It can be use as a source to find information about a specific subject that you are interesting in or your professor has assigned to you. In my on opinion, I will use summon to find more details about a paper that I have to write for a college paper, which will required the author name, volume number, and what type of journal is. Some other website does not include any of those information, that's why summon will be a good resource to use. If I could use summon to look up anything, i will use it to find information about a paper that is due at school, and I want to get a good grade on it, by using summon I can find a lot of information that will help me to have a great paper. Today was the first time I had use Summon, and I really liked it because it actually tells me who wrote it, the type of the journal, and you can always refine your search without changing your search. It also can be refine by the journal article, subject terms, which helps you to make your research paper even better to find.

I love my best friend. I have known my best friend for almost 10 years now. I can talk to her about anything, she gives me positives advise whether or not doing something. I consider her my best friends because she is honest, respectful, friendly, and trustworthy with me. We did not see each other for 4 years, because I moved her to the United States and she moved to Tortola one of he Virgen Island. But we were having contact with each other, we used to text, talk on the phone or chat sometimes. My best friend and I diceded to go to Dominican Republic so we can meet up there. She went to Domincan Repulic on February because I was supposed to go but i couldnt go because i was in school, so I told her not to leave until Spring Break. So I went down there in Spring Break, OMG she was a woman already :D she had a baby. My niece was so cute, and respectful, she would say thanks and you welcome already. She was only 2 years old...awww My best friend was still the same one after 4 years.

I left Dominican Republic four years ago, leaving my loved ones behind. Since these 4 years that I am been here I have only go there once. I went on Spring Break, it was so much fun. Everything was different all my cousins that I left little were bigger and my little sisters were so cute and grown. I really cannot wait until I go back. I miss all my cousins down there and specially my dad. I wish to go down there on December to spend the New Year Eve :D

Monday (June 21, 2010)

On Friday, I went to a college trip to MSU(Michigan State University). On our way there everybody were sleeping including me. We were so tired, that was a pretty long drive. Emmy De Leon decided to take pictures of Hector Garcia, Yari Segura, and Cesar when they were sleeping, She almost got me too, but thanks GOD I woke up before she took it. I really don't have anything to say about MSU, because I had never consider going over there to study. Well, After the Trip, we all headed home, I went to my sister house to spend the day with her. But what a surprise my cousin and my two best friends were there, so we all decided to go to the pool and have some fun. We are at the pool chilling, and we were about to jump in and the manager told us that we couldn't get in the pool because he was about to close it due to the fact that a thunderstorm was coming. We were so mad because we wanted to go swarming, I meant get in the water because I don't know how to swim. :D We decided to go home and ordered pizza and just talk so that's what we did the whole night... Talk and watch movies. What a Friday ! I love Fridays, because I can spend it with people that I lOVE !!!

Interesting Blog (June 17, 2010)

I found this interesting blog, it is called "Recovering From Abuse". It is about domestic abuse, child abuse, and how some parents are not fair with their kids. One of the post that actually caught my attention was Letting It All Out. It was about a girl whose step dad did not treat her as his own, at the beginning he used to treat her like his own but at the end he did not treat her as well as his 3 kids. Everything that she did was wrong for him. I will recommend you guys to read it, it is really interesting.

Thursday (June 17, 2010)

Every Thursday, we have to take quizzes for all our subjects which are Anatomy, Spanish, Trigonometry, Writing. My roommate and I went to sleep around 12:00am last night and woke up around 4:30am so we can finish up studying. This classes are pretty hard and strict when it comes to study. For anatomy we need to study the structures of the body, their functions, and the levels of organization. For Spanish we have to learn 15 words and know the definition, how to separated it, and examples, also to read chapter 3 on a book. For Trigonometry I had to finish a 3 page sheet problems, and do a note page. For Writing wasn't that difficult at all, just to read. But all I can say is "Today is going to be a long day". Tomorrow is Friday :D what a cool day !! we finally go home and spend time with the family.

Wednesday (June 16, 2010)

Today is my 3rd day at campus (GVSU), and I cannot take it anymore.

I really can't wait to go home and sleep on my bed, and sleep in !! I am so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open. I wake up at 6:30am and go to sleep at 10:30pm at night and do the same thing over the next day. Yesterday I had a homework for all my classes, so I did not take my free time, I just went straight to EST, so by the time we got done with Study Table I could of been done with everything. Last night I tried to read the book that was given from Spanish class and I fall asleep while I was reading. And I really don't understand the purpose of reading a book in English when it is from Spanish class... (?) weird !!

Tuesday (June 15, 2010)

What a night and Tuesday Morning... I went to sleep around 12:00am last night because I was playing UNO cards with Yari, Sasha, and Adriana. It was quiet fun to play with them, some of them did not know how to play double so I taught them how to. Sasha did not know how to play pretty well, she was always putting the cards that it wasn't right. Finally, the game was over... I headed to my room and organized everything for the next day which is today, Tuesday. I woke up at 6:30am and called my mom to say Good Morning before she leaves to work. After that I went to get ready to start my day, went to breakfast, set down with my friends to have a morning talk about how tired we were and how much we miss our families back at home. I am not such a good morning person, and today I did not woke up in a really good mood, I have a huge headache and it is not going away.

Blog or not blog?

I've blogged before in a website about news. My brother send me a notification so I can be part of his blog, so I accepted it. I used to sign in everyday and check what he had post but it started to get boring so I stop signing in. I completely forgot the name of the website and my user name. I hope this new blog don't get boring and help me to understand more about blogging and the purpose of it.
